Climate in Japan
Japan consists of long archipelago lying from north to south, namely from the island of Hokkaido to the Kyushu island. And there are distinct four seasons, i.e. spring, summer, autumn and winter. There is a rainy season from June to July. In summer, it is hot and humid, and sometimes typhoons hit the islands bringing traffic and public transportations into halts. In winter, it is dry in most areas except snowy regions. The temperature in winter can drop below zero degrees. When you wish to fly to Hokkaido, the island in the north, some flights might be cancelled due to the bad weather so that checking on the flight information will be a must in winter. In spring and autumn, both temperature and humidity can be rather mild and agreeable.
Clothes in Japan
It is suggested to pick clothes in accordance with time, place and occasion. For business, wearing a suit and tie will be a safe choice. Otherwise, there are no constrains for daily clothes, except sandals for when you are visiting a high-end restaurant. The temperature difference between day and night is not very big, but it can be instable in between the seasons and wearing a jacket, which is easy to slip on and off, will be highly recommended.
